Working with A`vie Events gave me my first introduction to wedding planning. I worked directly beside Angela, the owner and lead planner, overseeing all phases of planning an event. Angela has been in the industry for over 20 years, but had taken a step back from event planning for a time. My internship hallmarked her return to events, and many of the measures we worked on together brought her business back in full, and gaining traction like never before!
During my time with A`vie we executed 3 weddings, but were in the planning stages with another 5. I attended all client meetings with Angela from their first meeting with us, to all appointments with vendors, the rehearsal dinner, and the day of the wedding.
When I was not meeting with clients, I was communicating with vendors on behalf of A`vie discussing details of the wedding, checking availability, updating current orders, or arranging delivery times for the day of. I also was in constant communication with our clients and Angela updating planning documents such as the client’s timeline/itinerary, and Angela’s planning guide to use on wedding day that contained every detail for the wedding.
Past this, I was involved with the comeback of Angela’s event business helping her with decisions regarding branding, as well as helping with social media by creating and updating the company’s Instagram and Facebook.
